Welcome to Charumati Buddhist Mission Nepal
Charumati Stupa was built by the prince Charumati Daughter of Emperor King Ashoka about 2300 yrs ago. It is one of the very important stupa's in Nepal, which was damaged/cracked over looked by the people of Nepal. The renovation of the stupa was started by ven. Tapassi Dhamma, later the founder of Charumati Buddhist Mission Nepal in 2001 and completed in 2002.

The Charumati Buddhist Mission – Nepal (CBMN) is a non profitable, non governmental and charitable Buddhist organization, was established on Vesak day of 2000 under the guidance and leadership of Venerable Tapassi Dhamma Thero, the abbot of Shree Ashok Charumati Vihara, Chabahil Kathmandu. Ven. Tapassi Dhamma was born in middle class family at Balambu Kathmandu. He went to Sri Lanka as a Buddhist Novice for further Religious studies in 1984 and back to Nepal in 1991. Ever since, he didn’t only renovate Chabahil Stupa at Chabahil but also protector, preservation and promoter of it. Further, he wishes to renovate neglected over looked Buddhist Stupa's in different cities of Nepal. Read More
