Charumati Stupa was built by the prince Charumati Daughter of Emperor King Ashoka about 2300 yrs ago. It is one of the very important stupa's in Nepal, which was damaged/cracked over looked by the people of Nepal. The renovation of the stupa was started by ven. Tapassi Dhamma, later the founder of Charumati Buddhist Mission Nepal in 2001 and completed in 2002.
