Nagarkot is one of the main tourist spots with a good location both environmentally and socially, which is situated just 32km east of Kathmandu at an elevation of 7200ft above sea level. Therefore, CBMN would like to create new center for creating place for peace lovers and promoting inner peace and calm through Buddhist moral, education and moral education; professional training programs, health services, pilgrimage guest house etc. It will be the place for new generation with a monastic environment.
It occupies 8 hector of lands which is estimated to a sum of 2 million US $ would be incurred for the completion of the monastery.

The Renovation of Stupas at Dolkha District
Dolkha Bazar, just 136 km North-East of Kathmandu, is connected by Arniko Highway and Lamosanghu-Jiri road. It offers a panoramic view of wide range of Himalaya consisting of majestic view of Mt. Gauri Shankar. Dolkha is a Historical Newar village with high cultural values for both the Buddhism and Hinduism It can be seen from the existence of famous temples like Lord bhimeswor, tripurasundari, Kali as well as various chaityas and stupas built allover the Dolkha Bazar. It is also to note that one of the great scholar of Buddhism Millorappa, who was famous in Tibet (China), was also born in the vicinity. The cultural festivities of Dolakha, like Bhairav Kumari Dance during the month of July, the Charikot pulling of Machhendra Nath, Hile Jatra, Khadga Jatra at Dasain festival, Bhim Ekadashi etc., have high cultural values and attract both local and foreign tourists, and also pilgrimages.
Despite of local efforts to upkeep the historical and cultural heritages in Dolakha Bazar only some major temples were renovated in the past years and still most of the important stupas are in need of renovation. Without timely renovation the stupas of Buddhism temples they will be damaged completely with loss of historical values of Dolkha.
2. Introduction:
This proposal has been prepared to renovate the eight stupas in Dolakha Bazar which lies in various places of ward no. 2,3, and 4 of Bhimeshwor Nagarpalika. For the purpose of assessment of condition of stupas and requirement for the renovation a team of engineers and architects visited the sites and made the necessary design drawings, cost estimates to execute the necessary renovation works.
With this renovation works it assumed that the stupas shall come to original shape and such that it will help to retain the cultural values for followers of Buddhism and as well as attract the local and foreign tourists in the vicinity.
3. Objectives:
Main objective of this proposal are;

Improve the Buddhism cultural environment of Dolakha by conserving the historical monuments in the form of stupas,
•
Strengthen the historical Buddhism importance of Dolakha Bazar,
•
Strengthen the local values, trade, and income generation activities through more economic activities like enhance the local and foreign tourism in the area,
4. Scope of Works:
In total eight stupas has been identified for renovation purpose. These stupas are identified as 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, 7A, 8A and Stupa. For each stupa the necessary activities of renovation has been identified and estimated. Most of the renovation works consists of specialized civil works, wood works, metal tower works, and copper and gold gliding works. All of these activities are in small quantities but are of delicate nature and require special skill for construction.
The details of the scope of works for each stupa has been identified and listed in detail cost estimate sheet (Annex 1).
5. Cost estimate:
Cost estimate has been prepared by the Engineer from District Technical Office, Dolakha with due consideration for the need of renovation activities for each individual stupa. Consideration has been made for the special materials and special skills that needed to be transported from Kathmandu. Cost has been included for transportation of materials and skilled labor from Kathmandu. For the purpose of miscellaneous expenses that not covered by the item wise activities some amount has been estimated. Miscellaneous expenses shall cover he necessary cost for supervision, monitoring, and evaluation of the renovation works. Additional amount of 5% has been estimated for contingency purpose which covers both the price and physical contingency.

6. Implementation and Monitoring Organization
The proposed renovation works shall be executed by forming a local level renovation Committee in close coordination from Ven. Bhikkhu Tapassi Dhamma Chief Abbot Shree Charumati Buddhist Monastery and Founder Chairman Charumati Buddhist Mission Nepal, Kathmandu. The Renovation Committee shall include representation from the local authorities, people’s representatives, and technical manpower to execute, supervise and control the overall works.
Necessary mechanism for controlling the fund flow, implementation time schedule, and reporting shall be developed by the Renovation Committee before starting the implementation of renovation works.
